About The Position

This role involves instructing students in accordance with the educational philosophy, course objectives, and curriculum of the District, providing maximum learning opportunities tailored to each student's abilities, interests, and needs. The position also includes supporting teachers and students in education-related activities, assisting in the implementation of Individual Education Plans, and providing support for identified students both inside and outside the classroom to enable their participation in activities.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree or 60 college credits (for Substitute Teacher)
• High School Diploma (for Substitute Aide)

Responsibilities

• Instruct students in accordance with the educational philosophy, course objectives, and curriculum of the District.
• Provide maximum learning opportunities for students in accordance with program objectives and each student's abilities, interests, and needs.
• Continuously develop professional knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviors to improve educational opportunities for students.
• Assist in the education and social development of students under the direction and guidance of general or special education teachers.
• Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans for students and monitor progress.
• Provide support for identified students both inside and outside the classroom to enable them to participate in activities.
