About The Position
The Clinical, Developmental & Therapeutic (CDT) Program is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Substitute Special Education Teacher to support students during our 18-day Summer Program, which runs from July 1, 2026, to July 30, 2026. This position offers a valuable opportunity to work within a collaborative educational and therapeutic team dedicated to serving students with intensive special education needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Connecticut teaching certification preferred.
- Experience working with students with significant behavioral, emotional, developmental, or therapeutic needs strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide instructional support and classroom leadership in the absence of the regular special education teacher.
- Implement individualized educational programming and behavioral supports.
- Collaborate with related service providers, paraprofessionals, and clinical staff.
- Maintain a structured, safe, and supportive learning environment.
- Support students with academic, social-emotional, behavioral, and functional skill development.
