About The Position

Marrakech is seeking a hands-on problem solver to join their Facilities team as a Substitute Plant Operations Specialist. This per diem position involves maintaining and improving residential and commercial properties across Connecticut. The role requires performing routine and emergency repairs on homes, offices, and vehicles, utilizing expertise in areas such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and masonry. Responsibilities also include supporting renovation projects, assisting with site moves and donation pickups, maintaining agency vehicles, and ensuring safe environments for staff and the individuals served. Excellent customer service to program managers and team members is expected.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Strong skills with hand and power tools
• Ability to work independently and make cost-effective decisions
• Lived experience as a participant in the mental health service system
• Demonstrated ability to access and utilize community resources effectively

Nice To Haves

• 5+ years of experience in building and mechanical maintenance preferred
