About The Position

Contribute to the warm and welcoming environment at Circle Academy, a non-public Special Education school serving S/ED, BD, LD youth ages 5-21. The Substitute Paraeducator (part-time) works under the direction of, and in accordance with, the classroom teacher(s) to plan, coordinate, and implement the assigned classroom program. Previous experience in a school setting is preferred. Applicant must be a dependable team player with a strong work ethic.

Requirements

• Para-professional license issued by the ISBE or able to obtain one.
• Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Able to maintain client’s confidentiality.
• Must submit to a pre-employment physical, and background check.
