About The Position

Ontario-Montclair School District is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Substitute Music Teacher to support anticipated long-term Music teaching assignments. Selected candidates may be considered for long-term placements according to District needs and qualifications, and will join the District substitute teacher pool for possible additional day-to-day assignments at various school sites. Long-term placement is not guaranteed; assignments depend on District needs and availability. Applicants must have appropriate authorization to be considered for long-term Music assignments. Eligible credentials or qualifications include a California Single Subject Teaching Credential in Music with English Learner Authorization; a California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential with English Learner Authorization and Music Subject Matter Authorization or Supplemental Authorization; another valid California credential or permit authorizing long-term Music teaching assignments under CTC requirements; or a bachelor's degree in Music or a related field, with official transcripts for District evaluation of eligibility for an appropriate permit or authorization. A 30-Day Emergency Substitute Teaching Permit alone does not meet the preferred qualifications for this recruitment. Applications must include the required documents scanned and attached through the Certificated EdJoin application: transcript (for a bachelor's degree in Music or a related field), credential copy, letter of introduction, two professional letters of recommendation from within the last year, and resume. Incomplete applications will not be considered in the next phase. Documents are not accepted by mail, email, fax, or personal delivery. Applicants are instructed not to include medical or legal documents.
