About The Position

We're looking for an enthusiastic Substitute Career Technical Training (CTT) Instructor to step in and support our skilled trades and career training programs whenever needed. In this role, you'll help keep students engaged, motivated, and on track as they develop the technical and professional skills needed for successful careers. Whether you're supporting instructors in the classroom, reinforcing safety practices, or encouraging students as they master new skills, you'll play an important part in their journey toward meaningful employment. No two days are the same, and every day is an opportunity to make a lasting impact.

Requirements

  • A passion for helping students discover their potential and prepare for rewarding careers.
  • The ability to adapt quickly and confidently in different classroom and shop environments.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • A positive attitude, flexibility, and a willingness to jump in wherever you're needed.
  • Valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in career technical education, skilled trades, workforce development, or a related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Step into Career Technical Training classrooms to provide instruction and supervision in the absence of the regular instructor.
  • Support hands-on learning activities while maintaining a safe, engaging, and productive classroom environment.
  • Reinforce workplace expectations, professionalism, and employability skills that prepare students for success.
  • Encourage student participation, confidence, and skill development across a variety of trade and career pathways.
  • Follow lesson plans and training objectives to help students stay on track with program competencies.
  • Monitor student progress and provide encouragement and constructive feedback.
  • Promote safety procedures and ensure students follow equipment and shop protocols.
  • Collaborate with instructors and center staff to support student success and positive outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and protect the confidentiality of student information.
