About The Position
Substitute Instructional Assistants - Special Education and/or Instructional Assistants/Personal Care Assistants assist a certificated teacher in providing instruction and care to individual or small groups of students. Substitute assignments are throughout district at middle and high schools in Special Education classrooms. Typical assignments are 5.5 or 6 hours per day.
Requirements
- Must pass a drug, alcohol and tuberculin skin test as well as a fingerprint/background check.
- Disclose a complete list of every school district, county office of education, charter school, state special school and diagnostic center operated by the department of education, and private school that the applicant has previously been an employee of, including full-time, part-time, or substitute roles. (Effective January 1, 2026)
