About The Position

Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional substitute guitar instructor to teach part-time at Melody Academy of Music. This role involves instructing in person at locations in Fremont, Cupertino, and Palo Alto. The ideal candidate will have a strong music background, a passion for teaching, experience with young musicians, punctuality, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a background check. Preference will be given to those with weekday afternoon/evening availability and the ability to travel to multiple locations. The ability to teach other instruments, particularly ukulele or bass guitar, is a plus.

Requirements

• Strong music background evidenced by a degree in music performance, pedagogy, or equivalent performing experience.
• Demonstrated love of teaching.
• Experience working with young musicians.
• Robust appreciation for punctuality.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a routine background check.
• Weekday afternoon/evening availability preferred.
• Ability to commute to multiple locations preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to teach ukulele or bass guitar.
