About The Position

To provide a high quality of education and care for young children. Assist teachers in daily classroom supervision, including outdoor play activities using positive discipline techniques to ensure a safe and healthy environment. Assist in the practice and documentation of monthly fire drills as needed. Assist in the preparation of materials, equipment, information for the daily program, taking daily attendance and lunch count including reports for CACFP. Using appropriate food handling, sanitation and OSHA procedures at all times. Participate in the arrangement of classroom materials and furniture to maintain a developmentally appropriate and safe environment. Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Previous experience working with young children.
  • Knowledge of early childhood education
  • Warm and nurturing personality
  • Ability to function within guidelines of Agency’s core values, identification with Agency mission, ability to build consensus and motivate employees.
