The Substitute Counselor provides support to schools in the absence of a regular school counselor. This role requires the ability to form relationships with a wide variety of children and families, and to differentiate needs for a wide range of developmental levels. The counselor is responsible for implementing the district curriculum to maximize student learning and for evaluating and meeting students' emotional needs. Placements can be in elementary, middle, or high school settings and may last for one or several days at a time. Proficiency with MS Office applications is also expected.
