About The Position

Join NeighborImpact as a Head Start Substitute Center Aide for an on-call role that offers hands-on experience in both Early Head Start (ages 2–3) and Head Start preschool classrooms (ages 3–5). Support children’s learning and be part of a team making a lasting impact. This position is a great stepping stone toward a rewarding career in early childhood education. NeighborImpact’s Head Start and Early Head Start programs provide free, high-quality early childhood education and family support to low-income families in Central Oregon. Head Start serves children ages 3 to 5 in classroom settings, while Early Head Start supports pregnant women and children under age three through home visits and center-based care. Both programs are dedicated to promoting school readiness, healthy development, and social competence, ensuring families receive the critical resources and support needed during their child’s formative years. The Head Start Substitute Center Aide is an on-call position supporting the center team in creating a high-quality environment by integrating program services within the classroom. This role involves working with children in Early Head Start classrooms, serving children 2-3 years old, and in our Head Start preschool classrooms, serving children 3-5 years old, as assigned.
