Substitute Bus Aide
About The Position
Under the general supervision of the Transportation Department Administrator and/or designee, the Substitute Bus Aide assists with the care and supervision of pupils. The position helps pupils board and exit a school bus, supports their safety and appropriate conduct during transportation, assists with healthcare issues, and performs other assigned duties. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment physical and fingerprint clearance. Requirements
- Submit a cover letter or letter of introduction.
- Submit a resume.
- Submit two letters of recommendation written within the last two years.
- Provide a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Provide a First Aid and CPR certificate.
- Successfully complete a pre-employment physical and fingerprint clearance.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the care and supervision of pupils.
- Assist pupils in boarding and exiting a school bus.
- Assure the safety of pupils.
- Maintain appropriate order and conduct on the bus.
- Aid with pupils’ healthcare issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
