About The Position
This position is responsible for the electrical substation maintenance on 115KV to 2.4KV switchgears and transformers.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Three to five years of experience in electrical substation maintenance.
- Required to have journeyman lineman card.
- Valid Kansas driver’s license required within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities
- Maintains all high voltage substations.
- Create and execute switching orders as needed.
- Perform infrared inspection of equipment such as breakers and transformer connections.
- Test and inspects high voltage switchgear, protective relays, battery systems and high voltage transformers.
- Conducts oil samples on equipment and maintains sample records.
- Monitor and maintain City SCADA system.
- Perform weekly inspections as required per EPA.
- Assist line crew as needed.
- Scheduled for on-call rotation.
