About The Position

Mesa seeks a Substation P&C Engineer to design and/or check deliverables for high-voltage substations. The work typically includes One Line Diagrams, Control House layouts, Relay Panel Front Views, Elementary and/or Schematic Diagrams, Wiring Diagrams, Bills of Materials, and Cable Schedules. This is an entry-level position in the Power Delivery Substation group, offered in a hybrid home-and-office arrangement in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Proficiency in verbal and written communication.
• Entry-level experience: 0–3 years.

Nice To Haves

• Expertise using AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Electrical (ACADE).
• Knowledge of power systems or substation design.
• Keen interest in learning and using the latest Autodesk software tools, methods, and technologies to develop power substation designs.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.

Responsibilities

• Complete assignments within budget and schedule with a high degree of accuracy.
• Work under the direction of a P&C Group Lead or P&C Engineering Supervisor.
• Use AutoCAD Electrical (ACADE)-based protection and control standards.
• Prepare technical deliverables and other project documents.
• Ensure deliverables comply with IEEE and/or client standards and applicable design requirements.
