About The Position

Springfield Treatment Center is seeking a Substance Use Recovery Mentor (CRM) who brings compassion, purpose, and a genuine dedication to supporting individuals on their recovery journey. This role involves working closely with clients at various stages of recovery, empowering them to make informed, independent choices while connecting them with invaluable community resources. The position requires flexibility to accommodate early mornings, evenings, and weekends to meet clients where they are most comfortable and ready to grow.

Requirements

• Minimum of six months of relevant experience.
• Certified as a Recovery Mentor issued by the Oregon state licensing body.
• Meet state requirements for employment in an opioid treatment program.
• Adhere to federal guidelines regarding prohibited substances.
• Current driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Attend group sessions alongside primary counselors.
• Embody a positive role model while reinforcing valuable suggestions based on personal experiences.
• Provide essential support, filling gaps that traditional counseling cannot, with services like telephonic support, case management, and meeting clients at community or 12-step gatherings.
• Empower clients to make informed, independent choices.
• Connect clients with invaluable community resources.
• Work at both Springfield and Eugene locations as needed.
