About The Position

Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a full-time Substance Use Intensive Outpatient (IOP) Facilitator to provide services to clients at its Whiteville, North Carolina location. The role primarily involves facilitating or co-facilitating psychoeducation groups and facilitating psychotherapy groups. The facilitator also supports client aftercare planning, communication with family members, referral-source maintenance, and a therapeutic environment that encourages healthy interpersonal behavior. The position collaborates with consumers and the team to develop treatment goals and monitor progress.

This is an onsite position scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pay is $22.60 per hour. Easterseals PORT Health provides disability, mental health, and substance use services across North Carolina and Virginia, delivering services in person and through telehealth.

Requirements

• CADC certification is required, or provisional licensure is preferred; LCAS-A is accepted.
• Two years of experience in substance use services.
• Knowledge of therapeutic practices and group facilitation techniques.
• Problem-solving and de-escalation skills for crisis situations.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate or co-facilitate psychoeducation groups and facilitate psychotherapy groups.
• Establish client aftercare plans and initiate and maintain contact with family members.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date referral sources.
• Maintain a therapeutic environment and promote appropriate, healthy interpersonal behavior.
• Collaborate with the team and consumers to develop treatment goal plans and monitor progress toward goal completion.
