About The Position

The Mobile Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) provides counseling, case management, and recovery support services to members served by WeCare Daily Clinics’ mobile clinics. This includes completing comprehensive ASAM assessments, developing individualized service plans, facilitating both group and individual counseling sessions, and providing ongoing case management support. This role requires a strong understanding of the unique challenges and confidentiality considerations related to HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 in mobile operations. Working in a mobile clinic environment requires adaptability, collaboration with a small, dedicated team, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic setting that serves diverse communities.

Requirements

  • Active Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) credential in good standing with the Washington State Department of Health.
  • Must pass required background checks.
  • No history of alcohol or drug misuse in the past 3 years and no evidence of misuse while employed.

  • Ability to lead and facilitate group counseling sessions.
  • Strong understanding of substance use disorder treatment models and best practices.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic computer applications.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual counseling and case management services to assigned members.
  • Assist members in developing personalized treatment plans, focusing on recovery goals and actionable steps.
  • Lead and facilitate group counseling sessions to encourage peer support and collective progress.
  • Connect members to external resources, such as housing, education, and employment services, and assist in navigating systems to achieve stability and independence.
  • Advocate for members by helping them access the resources and services they need to achieve their recovery goals.
  • Support members in developing skills such as self-advocacy and relationship building.
  • Serve as a liaison between members and external organizations to streamline access to critical services.
  • Adapt counseling practices to meet the unique challenges and opportunities presented by mobile clinic operations.
  • Apply a strong understanding of HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 requirements in a mobile environment, ensuring confidentiality and compliance at all times.
  • Collaborate closely with the mobile clinic team to ensure smooth daily operations and seamless delivery of care.
  • Help create a welcoming and functional environment within the mobile clinic for all members.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided, adhering to Medicaid and employer standards.
  • Ensure member records are complete and updated in the electronic medical records (EMR) system.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to care planning and operational improvements.
