The Substance Use Counselor provides substance use services and consultation as a member of a mobile multi-disciplinary Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team. This role involves integrating dual-recovery treatment and working with both mental health and substance abuse in conjunction with the tasks of other team members. The counselor will conduct assessments for substance abuse services and treatments, be responsible for recipients and charting services, and play a key role in creating and revising service plans as participant needs change. Advocacy for participant rights and preferences is a core responsibility. The position includes an on-call rotation, backing up the social worker, and requires fieldwork and travel.
