Acenda's Program for Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) is seeking a CADC/LCADC to serve as the team's co-occurring disorders specialist. This role will help adults with serious mental illness and substance use challenges build stability, independence, and recovery in their own communities. The counselor will work alongside psychiatry, nursing, behavioral health clinicians, peer specialists, and other members of an interdisciplinary team, bringing specialized substance-use expertise to treatment planning and providing individualized support to individuals whose needs often cannot be addressed effectively in a traditional office-based setting. Experienced substance-use professionals choose PACT to become the team's subject-matter expert in substance use and co-occurring disorders, work as part of a highly collaborative interdisciplinary clinical team, build meaningful, longer-term relationships with individuals in recovery, deliver care in real-world community settings, use motivational interviewing, harm-reduction/recovery principles, relapse-prevention strategies and evidence-based co-occurring treatment, expand their expertise in serious mental illness and integrated behavioral healthcare, and receive training and professional development in the evidence-based PACT model.
