About The Position

As a Substance Abuse Specialist on our Community Supports Team, you'll walk alongside members managing substance use alongside a co-occurring mental health diagnosis — helping them build the skills, stability, and connections they need for lasting recovery. This role is central to service delivery within the Community Supports Team, offering a real opportunity to improve quality of life and strengthen community connection for the members you support.

Requirements

• LCAS (Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist)
• LCAS-A (LCAS Associate)
• CCS (Certified Clinical Supervisor)
• Ability to regularly walk, stand, or stoop
• Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull, and move objects up to 25 lbs
• Valid driver's license and ability to regularly drive a motor vehicle
• Ability to complete NCI-B and CPR certification

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and develop person-centered treatment plans in coordination with CST partners
• Support members with symptom monitoring, management, and substance abuse education aimed at reducing the need for higher levels of care
• Assess and develop crisis plans tailored to each member's needs
• Promote positive leisure activity development and skill-building to support sustained recovery
• Help members build the tools and habits that support long-term wellness
• Assist in maintaining and renewing authorizations so members receive uninterrupted access to their full continuum of care
• Collaborate with the treatment team while exercising autonomy within your own caseload
• Build relationships with behavioral health resources across the community
• Help grow our service area through your connections and outreach
