About The Position

The Charles Evans Center (CEC) is a Federally Qualified Health Center, providing comprehensive medical, dental and mental health services. The center specializes in meeting the needs of adults and children with developmental disabilities. Our team-based approach puts patients at the center of their care. Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling
• Current NYS License in LMSW/LCSW, or LMHC
• Strong substance abuse experience, required.
• Daytime availability, required.

Nice To Haves

• CASAC certification, a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct all aspects of psychotherapy with individuals, families, couples or groups with substance abuse disorders.
• Attend supervisory sessions as scheduled and demonstrate motivation for learning and willingness to take direction.
• Attend weekly social work meetings arriving promptly, participating actively in the process and assuming responsibility for rotating presentations.
• Attend annual agency training for Quality Assurance including fire safety, mandated reporting of abuse and universal precautions.
• Initiate and maintain contact with other agency departments regarding your patients as necessary and appropriate in the service of quality treatment.
