The Addiction Counselor (CAC, LCADC, CSC, ADT) provides direct substance use disorder (SUD) treatment services through group and individual counseling, psychoeducation, and care planning. Utilizing a person-centered, trauma-informed approach, the counselor supports clients in achieving sobriety and wellness goals. The role includes assessment, treatment planning, documentation, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Substance Abuse Counselors are the ultimate cheerleaders on the road to recovery! They guide individuals and their families as they navigate rehabilitation from illicit substances, prescription or street drugs, alcohol, and other substance-related or behavioral addictions.
