About The Position
Crossroads Treatment Centers is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor to join their team. This role involves providing individual counseling to patients with opioid use disorder, conducting clinical assessments, designing and updating treatment plans, managing caseloads, and collaborating with nurses and providers to offer holistic treatment services. The position also includes facilitating urine drug screenings. Crossroads Treatment Centers is dedicated to providing accessible, high-quality, evidence-based medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to combat the opioid epidemic and support patient recovery. The company operates outpatient, office-based clinics across multiple states and emphasizes diversity and an inclusive environment.
Requirements
- General experience working with underserved populations in a clinical setting.
- CADC, Level I (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Level I)
- CADC II, Level II (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor II, Level II)
- CAADC (Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor)
- CAC I (Certified Addiction Counselor I)
- CAC II (Certified Addiction Counselor II)
- MAC (Master Addiction Counselor)
- National Certified Addiction Counselor, Level I (NCAC I)
- National Certified Addiction Counselor, Level II (NCAC II)
- LPC, LAPC, LMSW
Nice To Haves
- Lived addiction experience is a plus.
- Bachelor's Degree is preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provides individual counseling to highly complex patients
- Conducts clinical assessments to appropriately assess patient’s treatment needs
- Designs and updates the patient’s treatment plan, including care coordination, referrals, and discharge planning
- Manages assigned caseload and compliance with clinical treatment requirements
- Collaborates with nurses and providers to provide holistic treatment services
- Facilitates urine drug screening for patients
