About The Position

Crossroads Treatment Centers is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor in Greenville, SC. Since 2005, Crossroads has been a leader in treating patients with opioid use disorder, providing accessible, high-quality, evidence-based medication-assisted treatment (MAT) options. This comprehensive approach is the gold standard for treating opioid use disorder, proven to prevent overdose deaths and foster long-term recovery. Our clinics are outpatient and office-based, located in multiple states including Georgia, Kentucky, New Jersey, North and South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia. Requirements

General experience working with underserved populations in a clinical setting.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
Must be licensed or certified in SC.
Candidate must be willing to start early in the morning, as work hours start at 5:00 AM.
No legal impediments to serving in a licensed opiate treatment program.
Must have a valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

Lived addiction experience is a plus.
Master’s degree in a behavioral health field preferred.
Experience treating opiate-addicted patients is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provides individual counseling to highly complex patients.
Conducts clinical assessments to appropriately assess patient’s treatment needs.
Designs and updates the patient’s treatment plan, including care coordination, referrals, and discharge planning.
Manages assigned caseload and compliance with clinical treatment requirements.
Collaborates with nurses and providers to provide holistic treatment services.
Facilitates urine drug screening for patients.
