About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team. Requirements
- Must have an active MD license (ADT, CSC-D,CAC-AD, LGADC, LCADC)
- Strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with clients are crucial for success in this role.
- Ability to Commute: Hyattsville, MD 20785 (Required)
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of cognitive behavioral therapy principles and practices is a plus.
- Addiction counseling: 1 year (Preferred)
Responsibilities
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on diagnostic evaluations and clinical counseling techniques.
- Utilize cognitive behavioral therapy techniques to help clients identify and change maladaptive behaviors associated with substance use.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standard.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions focusing on behavioral health, coping strategies, and relapse prevention.
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
