About The Position

Crossroads Treatment Centers is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor to provide individual counseling to highly complex patients. The role involves conducting clinical assessments, designing and updating patient treatment plans, managing caseloads, and collaborating with nurses and providers for holistic treatment. This position is crucial in combating the opioid epidemic by providing evidence-based medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and helping patients on their path to recovery. Crossroads is dedicated to improving health equity and providing high-quality care in outpatient, office-based clinics across the U.S.

Requirements

General experience working with underserved populations in a clinical setting.
Must have an active LPC, LCSW, LMFT or LSATP.
CSAC or CSAC-S Counselors shall be licensed by the applicable Virginia health regulatory board or by a nationally recognized certification board or eligible for this license.
Candidate must be willing to start early in the morning, as work hours start at 5:00 AM.
No legal impediments to serving in a licensed opiate treatment program.
Must have a valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

Lived addiction experience is a plus.
Experience treating opiate-addicted patients is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provides individual counseling to highly complex patients.
Conducts clinical assessments to appropriately assess patient’s treatment needs.
Designs and updates the patient’s treatment plan, including care coordination, referrals, and discharge planning.
Manages assigned caseload and compliance with clinical treatment requirements.
Collaborates with nurses and providers to provide holistic treatment services.
Facilitates urine drug screening for patients.
