About The Position
Crossroads Treatment Centers is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor in Florence, SC. Since 2005, Crossroads has been a leader in treating patients with opioid use disorder, offering accessible, high-quality, evidence-based medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to combat the opioid epidemic and guide individuals toward recovery. This outpatient, office-based approach is the gold standard in care for opioid use disorder, proven to reduce overdose deaths and promote long-term recovery. The organization serves over 26,500 patients across clinics in multiple states, including Georgia, Kentucky, New Jersey, North and South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia. Requirements
- General experience working with underserved populations in a clinical setting.
- No legal impediments to serving in a licensed opiate treatment program.
- Bachelor's degree in human services or a related field.
- Certified/licensed in addiction counseling in the state of SC is preferred.

- Lived addiction experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provides individual counseling to highly complex patients
- Conducts clinical assessments to appropriately assess patient’s treatment needs
- Designs and updates the patient’s treatment plan, including care coordination, referrals, and discharge planning
- Manages assigned caseload and compliance with clinical treatment requirements
- Collaborates with nurses and providers to provide holistic treatment services
- Facilitates urine drug screening for patients
