Silver Ridge, part of Pyramid Healthcare, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Full-Time Counselor to join our team in Mills River, NC. This position requires flexibility to work weekends as part of the regular schedule while providing exceptional clinical care to individuals in recovery. Silver Ridge specializes in providing clinically effective addiction treatment for established, midlife adults (ages 35+) navigating substance use challenges. Our holistic, evidence-based approach incorporates therapies such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Motivational Interviewing while fostering healing, personal growth, and long-term recovery. Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field (required).
  • Active or associate/provisional North Carolina licensure: LCSW or LCSWA, LCMHC or LCMHCA, LCAS or LCASA
  • Willingness to obtain LCAS licensure if not already held.
  • Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in substance use, mental health, trauma, or co-occurring disorders preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling services.
  • Complete assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary treatment team to implement and monitor treatment goals in accordance with CARF standards.
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in the electronic health record.
  • Participate in treatment planning, utilization review, discharge planning, and aftercare coordination.
  • Facilitate psychoeducational and process groups.
  • Assist with program development and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation as assigned.
  • Help maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and respond appropriately to crisis situations.
  • Work a full-time schedule that includes required weekend availability.
