About The Position

Responsible for acting as team lead in recovery of overpayments or situations involving other party liability. Evaluates, prepares, negotiates and settles Workers' Compensation and Third-Party Liability and other recovery cases. May have recovery accountability on liens with higher level of settlement authority. This role enables associates to work virtually full-time, with the exception of required in-person training sessions (when indicated), providing maximum flexibility and autonomy. This approach promotes productivity, supports work-life integration, and ensures essential face-to-face onboarding and skill development. Requirements

Requires a BA/BS degree and a minimum of 5 years’ experience handling Workers' Compensation and/or Third-Party Liability cases; or any combination of education and/or experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Nice To Haves

Strong knowledge of Workers’ Compensation, Third-Party Liability (TPL), preferred subrogation, and recovery processes.
Previous experience providing team leadership, coaching, training, or quality/audit oversight preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversees complex Workers' Compensation/Third Party Liability and other subrogation recovery cases.
Provides on-going training to lower-level associates.
Conducts audits of work.
Develops procedures and provides input to policies.
Reviews legal precedents.
Researches and applies or interprets appropriate laws.
Works with Legal Department.
Prepares communications.
Assists manager with special projects.
