In this high-visibility role you will: Lead cutting-edge risk assessments that directly influence the design, procurement, and employment of future submarines Evaluate emerging technologies and concepts, recommending actionable solutions that keep the fleet safe and lethal Collaborate with senior Navy officers, engineers, and policy makers, turning complex data into clear, impactful briefings and reports Drive real-world impact—your analyses will shape strategic decisions, protect national security, and advance undersea warfare capabilities Work on interesting and challenging research and analysis projects such as: Future warfighting and operations scenario development and analysis System of Systems Operations Analysis Operations analysis and modeling of unmanned systems that work both with and independent of submarines Leverage operational and technical experience to support the government team in the assessment of technologies to mitigate operational risks Apply knowledge and experience of the submarine force to a wide variety of non-DoD projects and initiatives Why apply? Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or analysis field
- U.S. Citizen, possessing an active Department of Defense SECRET security clearance and eligible for TS/SCI
- Qualified as Submerged Officer of the Deck with at least 6 years of experience in at sea submarine operations
- Experience in communicating complex issues to executive leaders with data driven analysis to support critical decisions
- Proficiency with analytical tools (MATLAB, Python, or similar)
Nice To Haves
- Masters or PhD degree in Operations Research or equivalent fields
- Experience as a submarine Department Head or Executive Officer on an operational SSN/SSGN/SSBN
- Experience in tactical operations and employment
- Experience in applying advanced analytical techniques to solve complex problems
- Experience drafting technical reports, policy briefs, or briefing decks for senior stakeholders
