About The Position

The SME serves as an advisor providing critical guidance and reporting to Countermeasures Directorate, and/or its subordinate office. This support will assist in the formulation of policy guidance; contract budget tracking (other than contract employed under); resource management and budget planning, transformation of existing practices to deal with emerging technology; and in general, provide exemplary support to Department of State worldwide.

Requirements

Master’s degree/Bachelors degree in Business Management or other related subject.
Have a minimum of seven (10) years' experience in specified area of expertise.
Experience studying, organizing, analyzing, and presenting information at a level suitable for senior level personnel within government.
Must be proficient in current Microsoft Office Suite to include Outlook, Word, Excel and SharePoint programs.
Strong analytical/critical thinking and innovative problem-solving skills
Highly organized, extremely detail-oriented and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written.

Responsibilities

The SME must have knowledge or expertise in either physical or technical security programs, developed over a period of at least five years in commensurate positions, wherein the SME is qualified to provide similar support to the Director of the Countermeasures Directorate and/or subordinate offices, a position equivalent to the Senior Executive Service.
The SME is responsible for guidance incorporating comprehensive yet concise vision specific to implementation, operations, and maintenance.
The SME shall be capable of analyzing existing operations in order to identify improvements and propose plans for updating or changing as needed.
