About The Position

AECOM Hunt is seeking an experienced finance/accounting professional for a Subcontractor Prequalification Specialist position to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. This role performs professional-level accounting support, related to moderately complex accounting tasks. The specialist will have a proven ability to apply professional concepts in a productive, consistent manner, maintain records according to generally accepted accounting practices, perform audits, and generate special financial reports as needed. The role works under moderate supervision of daily work.

Requirements

BA/BS Accounting/Finance, Business Administration or similar curriculum and 2 years of relevant accounting experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Advanced Excel skills and experience with MS Office products
Accounting and or Finance background and experience in the construction industry preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with subcontractors.
Basic knowledge of CSI codes and associated scope risk.
Ability to analyze and present data for the purpose of evaluation by providing basic insights of analytics, identifying red flags or areas needing additional information

Nice To Haves

Accounting experience from A/E/C strongly preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting
Experience in project accounting
Experience with CMIC or COMPASS or other database systems.
Ability to read and interpret construction related contracts.
Excellent organization and analytical skills
High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
