About The Position

This position will be to act as a central point of contact for subcontractor compliance across departments. They will coordinate and monitor compliance documentation to ensure that subcontractors meet MGE requirements, helping support operational efficiency and greater risk management.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment demonstrating attention to detail and organization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, especially in Excel.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Class C Driver’s License; clean driving record
  • Minimum 1 year of administrative experience, within the construction industry a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a streamlined subcontract management process.
  • Coordinate with Project Management to keep visibility on subcontractor scheduling.
  • Develop and maintain tracker to easily access which subcontractors are on any given job at any time.
  • Monitor and maintain the vendor tracker, related documentation, and pricing sheets, following up as needed to ensure all information stays current.
  • Process new vendor requests, onboard new subcontractors, compile and input Vendor Services Forms, Certificates of Insurance, ISN registration and DPI / Common Ground Alliance standing, and licenses.
  • Connect to subcontractors on ISN and monitor status.
  • Streamline and monitor High-Risk Subcontractor Work Orders including guides for Project Management to ensure timely issuance on high-risk and high-priority projects, enhancing visibility for the Safety team.
  • Notify the Safety department upon subcontractor onboarding to determine and execute required safety orientation.
  • Coordinate with Project Management to stay informed about upcoming Subcontractor assignments on new jobs.
  • Work with Contract Administrator upon subcontractor onboarding to trigger new MSA or Subcontract Agreement creation.
  • Assist with finding compliant Vendors.
  • Assist with any current compliance concerns.
  • Update customer profiles and conduct supplier/environmental questionnaires.
  • Obtain customer specific COIs requests from Insurance Broker.
  • Assist with Supplier Diversity Goals and Diversity spend as needed.
  • Travel to various MGE offices as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
