Supply Chain’s vision is to enable customer and mission success through supply chain strategies and execution that deliver superior operational program performance and create competitive advantage through continuous improvement. It is our mission to deliver affordable supply chain solutions that meet all program requirements and manage supply chain risks to ensure positive supplier performance through all phases of the program life-cycle from capture to sustainment. On the Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) Program, Supply Chain is a key driver in providing buy component responsible for approximately 50% of the program hardware development subcontracts totaling two billion dollars of supplier value. The subcontractors we manage are vital in supporting design, build and deployment of the next step forward in national security detecting, tracking and destroying incoming intercontinental ballistic missiles in space before they reach American soil. This Subcontract Program Management (SPM) Operations position on NGI is one of the more critical subcontract positions responsible for facilitating for the NGI Subcontracts leadership team all required customer, NGI program leadership and Global Supply Chain Organization submissions. As part of the NGI Subcontract team this role will offer you the following daily key responsibilities: Primarily responsible for facilitating for the NGI Subcontracts leadership team all required customer, NGI program leadership and Global Supply Chain Organization status inputs as part of the program business rhythm Represent NGI Subcontracts leadership in program forums Lead the NGI Subcontracts team in completing special initiatives and collect data regarding subcontractor performance Assemble status presentations and perform data analysis As Subcontract Program Manager for one of our medium size suppliers, you will have complete responsibility for their cost, schedule and technical performance. Some (up to 20%) travel to the customer and subcontractor locations is required. This position does not support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near a Lockheed Martin Space facility in either: Denver, CO , Rocket City USA: Huntsville/Courtland AL , or Sunnyvale, CA . and be expected to work in the office.
