About The Position

At Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, the Supply Chain team is dedicated to delivering innovative, affordable, and agile solutions to customers, touching every product and service. This role is within the Global Supply Chain Management Team as a Subcontract Management Staff - a Buyer for ADP- Skunk Works. The position is responsible for managing supplier cost, schedule, and technical performance on complex build-to-print subcontracts for DOD programs. The individual will hold procurement delegation and sign supplier agreements and purchase orders within established authority. Key activities include leading the development of subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for specialized materials, equipment, and services for subcontract systems supporting development, production, and global sustainment primes across various contract types. This involves preparing bid packages, conducting bidders' conferences, developing evaluation criteria, analyzing and evaluating proposals, negotiating subcontract provisions (including price), selecting or recommending subcontractors, writing subcontract packages, preparing awards, and administering resulting subcontracts and required change activity.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college
  • Experience establishing supplier relationships and managing the continuous improvement of supplier performance
  • Knowledge of acquisition policies and procedures such as FAR / DFAR
  • Ability to be on-site a minimum of 2 days a week
  • Must be a US Citizen for consideration

Nice To Haves

  • 8 years of professional experience with a Bachelors degree; or 6 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree
  • Management or Team Lead experience
  • Experience with engineering drawings
  • Knowledge of acquisition policies and procedures such as LMAP / AeroCode

Responsibilities
