Serving Tustin, Santa Ana and other surrounding communities, Foothill Regional Medical Center is a fully accredited acute care hospital, licensed for 177 beds—120 beds for general acute care, 15 intensive care beds and 42 pediatric sub-acute beds. Requirements

  • Active, current, and unencumbered Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California
  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
  • At least 1 year RN experience in a Sub-Acute or Acute hospital setting
  • AHA Basic Life Support
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support
  • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to maintain flexibility and composure in a constantly changing environment

Nice To Haves

  • Pediatric experience or completion of a pediatric course within 1 year of employment

Responsibilities

  • Delivers specialized, high-quality nursing care to residents with complex, chronic, and long-term medical conditions in a sub-acute care setting.
  • Assesses, plans, coordinates, implements, and evaluates individualized care plans that promote optimal patient outcomes and quality of life.
  • Utilizes advanced clinical skills and therapeutic equipment to provide comprehensive nursing care.
  • Collaborates closely with physicians, rehabilitation specialists, respiratory therapists, social workers, and other interdisciplinary team members.
  • Ensures seamless coordination of care across the continuum.
  • Advocates for the physical, emotional, and psychosocial well-being of residents and their families.
