Requirements
- Current, active, and unrestricted California Registered Nurse (RN) License
- At least 1 year recent experience and knowledge in Sub-Acute Care, Skilled Nursing, Long-Term Care, Rehabilitation, Telemetry, or Acute Care
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Pediatric experience or completion of a pediatric course within one year of hire
- Strong communication, assessment, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work varying shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to remain calm, flexible, and effective in a dynamic healthcare environment
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Bilingual communication skills
Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and evaluate patient conditions, identifying changes and initiating appropriate interventions.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic procedures in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards.
- Utilize specialized equipment and clinical resources to provide safe, high-quality patient care.
- Monitor patient outcomes and adjust care plans as necessary to promote optimal recovery and well-being.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, patient safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans based on clinical assessments and patient goals.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate treatment plans and ensure continuity of care.
- Perform ongoing evaluations of treatment effectiveness and patient progress.
- Facilitate discharge planning and coordinate referrals and resources when appropriate.
- Partner with physicians, therapists, case managers, and support staff to deliver coordinated care.
- Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings and care conferences.
- Delegate and supervise patient care activities as appropriate.
- Serve as a clinical resource and role model for colleagues, new graduates, and support staff.
- Build meaningful relationships with patients and families through compassionate communication.
- Educate patients and caregivers regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and recovery goals.
- Advocate for patients' physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs.
- Promote an environment of dignity, respect, and patient-centered care
