The Study Administrator provides critical administrative and operational support for preclinical in vivo studies within a laboratory animal CRO environment. This position is responsible for coordinating and preparing study materials and documentation to ensure studies are conducted accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with study protocols and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow study protocols and written procedures
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Strong documentation and data entry skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines effectively
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to distinguish between different colors (normal color vision).
  • Ability to see clearly at various distances.
  • Adequate near vision for reading documents
  • Ability to focus and maintain concentration in tasks for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous exposure to a laboratory, research, or regulated environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of study materials such as blood collection tubes, sample labels, chain of custody forms, procedure sheets, study binders, stickers, and other study-related documentation.
  • Follow study protocols and instructions to support study execution and maintain accurate records throughout the study lifecycle.
  • Assisting with sample delivery, scanning and maintaining electronic study records, performing drug calculations, supporting data transcription for Study Directors, monitoring inventory and expiration dates of supplies, and serving as backup support to the Study Coordinator for ordering laboratory and study supplies.
