About The Position

Little, a nationally recognized "Best Firm to Work For" and a progressive design firm, is seeking a Studio Principal for its Healthcare Studio in Charlotte, NC. This role requires a positive, collaborative leader to guide a team of architects, planners, and designers. This individual will be responsible for growing the Charlotte studio into a regional powerhouse. Key attributes include strong interpersonal skills, a proven track record in business development and client relationships within the hospital sector, excellent communication abilities, strong mentorship skills, extensive healthcare planning and design background, resourcefulness, creativity, motivation, energy, and an interest in the future of the healthcare industry. The position offers leadership in the Charlotte office, direct client involvement, strategic planning for studio growth, autonomy, and the support of a large firm with extensive resources.

Requirements

  • Registered Architect.
  • 10+ years of experience in the healthcare architecture & design industry.
  • Deep healthcare experience in North Carolina.
  • Experience as an account or client manager, including financial management.
  • Strong experience with Business development.
  • Managed a team of people.
  • Strong listening skills and genuine interest in people.
  • Collaborative workstyle.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Motivated and energetic.
  • Ability to have fun while working.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of architects, planners, and designers in the Healthcare Studio.
  • Develop and grow the Healthcare Studio in Charlotte, NC.
  • Create a long-term strategic plan to grow the Studio and client mix in collaboration with the Office President and Healthcare Practice Leader.
  • Lead the Healthcare Studio in Charlotte with support from other studios.
  • Manage client relationships and their goals from the project's inception.
  • Mentor team members and foster their professional development.
  • Drive business development and cultivate new relationships with hospital clients.
  • Solve problems creatively and resourcefully.
  • Stay informed about the drivers and ideas impacting the current and future Healthcare industry.
