Studio Business Manager
About The Position
The Exactly Right Media network provides a platform for bold, creative voices to bring to life provocative, entertaining and relatable stories for audiences everywhere. Created by Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark, hosts of the hit podcast “My Favorite Murder,” in the Exactly Right roster of podcasts covers a variety of topics and voices, serving the highly engaged listenership of “My Favorite Murder” and beyond. This role is primarily responsible for revenue generation by renting small format production stages, offices, and equipment to audio, video, and alternative media clientele. Other responsibilities include managing client inquiries, conducting tours, and maintaining high occupancy rates through proactive outreach to producers, production companies, studios, and other industry professionals.
Requirements
- 3-5 Years experience in video production, stage management, media rentals, and event space highly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written skills for negotiating and client communication.
- Knowledge of CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, production scheduling tools, and working knowledge of audio and video production.
- Proven capability to close sales, meet targets, manage client accounts.
- Full time position.
- Willingness to work weekends and flexible hours to accommodate production schedules.

Responsibilities
- Develop a pipeline of prospects, including producers, line producers, and entertainment executives, through existing contacts, networking, cold calling and other sales strategies.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring high satisfaction, managing bookings, scheduling, and handling renewals.
- Conduct tours of studio spaces and production offices for clients to secure bookings.
- Negotiate rates, process contracts, handle certificates of insurance (COI), and track security deposits.
- Utilize CRM tools to track inquiries, update inventory availability, and generate reports on occupancy.
