About The Position

The Salem College Writing Center is hiring students who have completed the three semester hour internship. This role involves consulting and tutoring students on their writing projects both in-person and online, logging work hours, and attending regular staff and professional development meetings. Potential professional development activities include creating social media content, planning community engagement events, assisting with research and publications, developing and delivering workshops, curating the zine library, and creating discipline-specific writing materials. The position aims to provide students with experience as professional tutors, familiarity with writing center best practices, and opportunities to collaborate on professional development projects aligned with their career goals.

Requirements

  • Completion three semester hours of SALEM275 or ENGL211
