About The Position

The Blinn College District is searching for a Student Worker - Student Ambassador at our Bryan Campus. The Blinn Ambassador Program is a unique program through which students communicate their enthusiasm about Blinn college. Selection is based on communication skills, academic standing, leadership, composure, responsibility, and availability to perform clerical duties and other required tasks as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum 2.5 GPA (Submit unofficial transcript printed from MyBlinn or High School)
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Must be federal work study eligible
Ability to communicate effectively to large groups
Good leadership skills
Sensitive to individuals who require special assistance
Value diversity
Available to work approximately 15 hours per semester

Nice To Haves

Experience with public speaking and giving presentations to small and large groups.

Responsibilities

Provide tours for prospective students and their families
Speak to school and civic groups
Assist with recruiting activities
Provides assistance in the administration building at the information desk as well as other daily clerical duties.
Serve approximately fifteen hours per week throughout the semester.
Perform other duties as assigned
