About The Position
The Parking & Transportation Department at the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) is seeking students interested in employment as a Parking Enforcement Officer on campus. This role involves enforcing parking regulations, assisting campus visitors, and providing basic roadside assistance to motorists.
Requirements
- Candidate must be enrolled at the University of Nevada, Reno
- Candidate must have excellent customer service and communication skills
- A valid Class “C” driver’s license or higher operator’s license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment
- The successful candidates must complete the Defensive Driving course shortly after hire
- Driving carts on busy campus roads along with pedestrians is required for this position
Responsibilities
- Enforce parking regulations and issue warnings and citations
- Assist with general campus questions from students, staff, and visitors
- Assist motorists with basic vehicle issues (battery jump, locked out of vehicle, etc.)
- Monitor bike racks and issue warnings when necessary
- Work large events including football games
