About The Position

The School of Public Health is seeking a motivated individual to join the Dean’s Office team! The Dean’s Office provides support to the faculty, staff, and students of the School of Public Health. The Dean’s Office is located in the Edna Brigham Building, and this position will report to the administrative staff of the School.

Requirements

• Candidate must be enrolled at the University of Nevada, Reno
• Candidate must be in good academic standing with a 2.75 minimum GPA, and must be enrolled in at least 15 credits each semester
• Graduate applicants must be in good academic standing with a 3.0 minimum GPA
• Applicants must have completed at least one semester at the University of Nevada, Reno

• Candidate has the ability to interact and communicate effectively with students, faculty, staff, administrators, and community members of diverse cultural backgrounds and age ranges
• Candidate has a working knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Responsibilities

• Organize receipts and purchase documents
• Verify procurement card transactions
• Complete travel expense reports for faculty and staff
• In-person errands on campus
• Answering phones and directing calls
• Assisting any walking traffic and answering questions or directing to the appropriate staff member
• Processing incoming mail correctly and prepare out-going mail
• Copying, scanning, and sending emails
