In a student employee capacity, this role will perform or assist with functions related to marketing trends, communications outreach, and creative design and production (print and digital). The position involves creating video and photo content at live Baylor Athletics sporting events for publishing on @BaylorAthletics social platforms, editing content to align with campaign messaging, and writing creative social media captions. The role also includes reviewing analytics and data to understand trends and audience sentiment, analyzing competitor social media content, and learning from social media, marketing, and creative team members at events. Additionally, the student worker will attend team meetings and workshops to learn effective digital communication strategies for college athletics and Baylor University. The position may also involve assisting with marketing or communication plans, writing and editing materials, creating digital or print content, maintaining department websites or social media platforms, performing video editing, working with photo/video/audio equipment, researching marketing trends, assisting with departmental projects, partnering with external vendors, and tracking social media data.
