About The Position

The Robbins College Advising Office is looking for a work-study student to provide general office assistance and support. This role involves greeting clients and visitors with excellent customer service, answering inquiries, providing information, maintaining files and reports with confidentiality, and assisting with various projects and tasks as needed. The student will operate in a student employee capacity, potentially performing or assisting with functions similar to an administrative associate or office manager, while adhering to Baylor University policies and maintaining regular and punctual attendance.

Requirements

  • Reliability. Work-study students must be at work at their specified times.
  • Punctuality. Students must show up on time and leave at their designated time, not earlier.
  • Ability to follow directions. Active listening when instructions are given
  • Accuracy in work.
  • Pride in work.
  • Completion of assigned tasks in a reasonable amount of time.
  • Maintain a positive, upbeat attitude toward work.
  • Willingness to work. Ask if there is anything to be done rather than trying to avoid work.
  • Courtesy in answering the telephone or inquiries made in office by staff, students, visitors, etc. Always try to be of help.
  • Ability to comply with Baylor University policies
