About The Position

Federal Work-Study positions are part-time positions hired each semester and are for current Ivy Tech students. The Career Link Work Study will perform assigned duties to support the operations of the Ivy+ Career Link Department and assist the Ivy+ Career Link staff as needed. The role involves providing reception services and customer services to guests in the Ivy+ Career Link Office.

Requirements

Must have a high school diploma or GED.
Student must have completed current FAFSA on file demonstrating financial need.
Maintain a minimum of 6 credit hours of enrollment in eligible courses.
Maintain an aid-eligible Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) status.
Student cannot have any incomplete financial aid requirements.
Projects positive image for Ivy Tech Community College.
Display a professional appearance and demeanor.
Demonstrate a strong ability to communicate effectively and efficiently verbally and electronically.
Excellent word processing and spreadsheet computing skills in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace are required.
Great organizational skills.
The ability to multi-task.
Responsible for meeting project deadlines.
Must exhibit excellent interpersonal communication, telephone, confidentiality, and customer service skills.
Participate as a member in a team environment.
Provide excellent customer service to students, employers, and other Career Link stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Provide reception services and customer services to guests in the Ivy+ Career Link Office.
Perform assigned duties to support the operations of the Ivy+ Career Link Department.
Assist the Ivy+ Career Link staff as needed.
Answer phone calls to students/employers to remind them of upcoming appointments.
Data entry.
Front desk reception.
Walk-in student assistance.
Event preparation and implementation.
Other duties as assigned.
