About The Position

Be the Trusted Adult Who Changes a Student's Day - and Maybe Their Life. As a Student Wellbeing Mentor, you'll work directly with elementary and middle school students, helping them build confidence, resilience, emotional regulation, healthy relationships, problem-solving, and other social-emotional skills needed to thrive both inside and outside the classroom. If you're passionate about supporting young people and want a role where every day matters, we'd love to meet you. As a Student Wellbeing Mentor, you'll build meaningful relationships with students who benefit from additional support, help children develop confidence, resilience, and healthy coping skills, facilitate engaging social-emotional learning activities in individual and small-group settings, collaborate with educators, school staff, and families to support student success, work a consistent daytime schedule aligned with the school day, and join a mission-driven organization dedicated to youth mental wellness and suicide prevention. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Youth Development, Mental Health, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience working with elementary or middle school-aged children.
  • Experience supporting social-emotional development, mentoring, or youth programming.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and technology skills.
  • Reliable transportation to assigned schools.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in K–8 school settings.
  • Experience facilitating small groups or mentoring programs.
  • Knowledge of social-emotional learning, youth mental health, and suicide prevention.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations.

Responsibilities

  • Build positive mentoring relationships with elementary and middle school students.
  • Facilitate individual and small-group mentoring using CHADS Coalition's Social Emotional Well-Being curriculum.
  • Support students in developing emotional regulation, communication, problem-solving, relationship, and decision-making skills.
  • Communicate regularly with teachers, school staff, and families.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation and outcome data.
  • Ensure services meet CHADS program and quality standards.
  • Participate in agency meetings, supervision, and professional development.
  • Represent CHADS Coalition professionally within partner schools.
