About The Position

The UVU SMARTLab is one of the world's leading neuromarketing and biometric testing labs. We are looking for dedicated and inquisitive students to join the lab as user insights researchers. This role involves assisting with the marketing and promotion of the SMARTLab, conducting lab tours, administering biometric experiments (eye-tracking, facial expression analysis, EEG, galvanic skin response), and supporting faculty with research and class projects. The expected commitment is 15-25 hours per week, with a preference for this being the student's sole employment.

Requirements

• Must be a current UVU student.
• Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Must be able to complete CITI training.

Nice To Haves

• Strong communication, networking, and presentation skills suited for professional client interactions.
• Self-motivated and willing to learn how to synthesize scientific and market data into compelling value proposition presentations for businesses.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow directions.
• Ability to independently execute projects on a timely basis.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the marketing and promotion of the SMARTLab to the community, university, and businesses.
• Conduct lab tours for businesses, classes, and the community.
• Administer biometric experiments and projects (eye-tracking, facial expression analysis, EEG, galvanic skin response).
• Assist faculty members with research and with class projects.
