About The Position

The Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering is looking to hire 4 student tutors for the academic year 2026-2027. The positions will start at the beginning of the fall 2026 semester. Student Tutors are expected to hold office hours from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. to support students in Electrical and Computer Engineering courses, including ENGR 175, ENGR 230, ENGR 240, ENGR 331, and other courses.

Requirements

  • Must have taken and achieved a high level of performance in the courses to be tutored.
  • Must be able to explain concepts in an understandable and concise manner.
  • Must be a degree-seeking St. Thomas student.
  • Must be actively enrolled at least part-time in courses for credit.

Responsibilities

  • Hold office hours from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. to support students in Electrical and Computer Engineering courses.
  • Indicate courses comfortable tutoring.
  • Indicate days available for office hours from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. (Sunday through Thursday).
